Robyn loved the greenhouse. She didn't exactly love Herbology, but it was an okay class. It was one class that she had and she didn't have to try terribly hard at. She pushed her way through the corridors and out the big front doors. She pulled her light jacket tighter around her and looked up at the sky. It was in the process of getting dark, right before dinner. She had just gotten into an argument with one of her Malvolio classmates and she needed to clear her head before she was forced to go back in for dinner. If she had her way, she'd just skip it. She wasn't very hungry anyways. She had always loved the fact that she was in Malvolio, but sometimes all the ambitious people in one area was too much and she didn't want to deal with the drama.

She let her shoes crunch on a leaf and she looked around. There weren't a lot of people around. Probably because they were all getting ready for dinner. She let her feet push her toward the greenhouses. She loved how...well green the places looked even when weather was in the process of getting cold. She pushed past the smaller greenhouse and let herself push open the door to the middle one. She knew she could have continued to the larger one, but she wasn't in the mood to fight off deadly plants.

She let one of her hands brush across a normal looking leaf, enjoying the feel. She took a deep breath and took in all the smells. Smells of citrus, lilac, and other smells she couldn't put a name to. She squeezed through the aisles, making her way towards the back. Maybe if she was lucky she'd be able to keep this peace in quiet. But with her luck though, she knew someone would pop up and drive her crazy. That just always seemed to happen being at Oasis Hill.

Artemis looked up towards the translucent covering of the greenhouse, the darkening sky a sign she had been there far longer than intended. She wiped her brow, drawing a dark line of soil across it in the process. She had decided to spend her afternoon tending to some of the weaker plants in the greenhouse and one in particular that she had taken a fondness of. When she found it among the clutter of pots and larger plants it so sickly she wondered if it would last a few more days. She had decided to nurse it back to health and so far it was striving to survive despite all her efforts. She sighed and cast a sideways glance at the plant, not more than a few feet from her. She felt like a nervous mother in a hospital, though plants’ conditions changed far slower than that of humans, and she doubted there would be any immediate assistance needed for any plant.

She looked back to the pot in front of her and pulled another over closer to her. There was just this last plant that needed replanting and then she could be done. She smiled to herself a little as she dug the spade down around the plant and lifted it from the confining terracotta. She was alone in the back of the greenhouse that now crawled with the spidery shadows of the plants caused by the setting sun. As much as she loved Herbology and there was only a certain amount of potted foliage she could handle in a day. If she was outside it would be a different story. Outside there was life, mobile life anyway. There were bees and birds and movement from the water and wind. She turned back to her task; the sooner she was done the sooner she could leave the damp and sticky air of the greenhouse.

She was just finishing when a small crunch alerted her to someone else’s presence. She put the spade down and reached for her wand, she had heard no one else enter and the hair on the back of her neck stood up. She moved cautiously around the rows of plants, she wasn’t sure what had caused her to assume the crunch was from a hostile source but she wasn’t taking any chances.

Robyn walked down a row of green plants. She didn't bother to try and name them, she didn't even let herself worry about whether or not they needed water. She just walked. She loved the greenhouses for a couple reasons. The main reason being, she felt pulled away from everything when she was inside. She didn't have to worry about the wind blowing her hair and tangiing the curls. She didn't have to worry about trying to make conversation with people. She was just able to be there.

She let her feet push her around the end of the aisle, she was about to go back up another one, but she noticed that someone had left a spade laying out. One of the rules of the greenhouses was that you had to pick up everything after being inside it. She looked around wondering if the person was still there, but figured they weren't. She lifted the spade and pushed it underneath the table. At least the area at least looked clean now. She smiled and turned back around to go up the next aisle.

Unlike most people Robyn loved the sticky feeling of the greenhouses. Sure, she always wanted to shower after being in them, but that was fine. She was lost in her thoughts of the carnival and hanging out with Emily, when she thought she saw something move in the next aisle. She frowned and placed her hand on her pocket where her wand was. It was probably just the student that left the spade out. Probably trying to scare her or something. She rolled her eyes and reached up on her tiptoes to look over the plants. She frowned again, she couldn't even see over the plants. She pushed her feet down the aisle slightly faster. She wanted to know who was in there with her. She pulled her wand out. Why shouldn't she be prepared if it wasn't a student? Now she was being over-dramatic. She stopped at the end of the aisle and peaked around the corner to the next.
